An album company recently operating in the U.S. reached out to SJP. They wanted to send a few samples to see what I thought. They printed a few photos of me and the boys along with a mini swatch book at no charge. I was baffled by their confidence as I don’t even think I paid shipping…it took so long to get here….but Clynn and I got chills when we unwrapped the paper. The ink was clearly unlike anything we’d seen. We held up our print samples from other companies we had come to love and they paled in comparison. This company is truly archival. Prints tested through 100 years for sustainability in color and contrast. I haven’t even seen the prices yet. I know they are high, but SJP is sold. We are wedding photographers. We create heirloom work. What if I can hand it to you, knowing with proper care, it will look the same in 100 years?

Up until now, I have been all about just getting prints into your hands. Trying to convince my digital generation that a photo on a screen will NEVER compare to a photo in your hand. I’ve pushed that as long as I can at the lowest price points possible in hopes that you will see what I see and feel what my family has felt. I have plead my piece and after thousands invested in education and countless late nights of study, I am ready to be better represented. I want to be and provide the best for my couples. It is a luxury, but a luxury worth striving for. It’s Family history. A legacy of love unique to each couple and their posterity. I hope that preserving the history of your family for those who come after you is so important. More important than a new pair of Buckle Jeans, the latest iPhone, or that Naked eye-shadow palette you’ve been eyeing. Your wedding album is more than a photo book. It is your most precious heirloom.

Beginning with 2019 brides, we will officially be vendors of Archival quality print products. I will be sure to send out the option to my remaining wedding albums of 2018 because not giving the option would be a disservice. I will also be discontinuing canvas for Giclée Prints. Giclèe is a print process used in Museums for art reproductions. Canvas may return in 2020. Until then, I promise the trade off will be SO worth it. If you’re curious, I invite you to come see. Schedule a meeting to come to my office. See the difference for yourself. You’ll be sold in seconds.
I literally can not wait to place my sample album order with them. It will be my #1 project when I’m finished editing this wedding season. My couples who booked packages this year who were promised a keepsake box with prints?! They will be Giclèe quality! I can’t even bring myself to place an order for anything else and I can’t wait for you to see the difference yourself.

Written July 2022 To all the LGBTQ people who fell in love with their best friend on accident. I see you. This was mine. I hope you find healing, too. To the girl I loved first, I’m 31 now. I think you turned 30 last month. I’ll bet you celebrated in a beautiful way. I […]

To the girl I loved first.

Della and Jim had a beautiful family and friends wedding celebration in Monroe, Washington at the Blue Boy West Golf Course. Check out another wedding I’ve photographed at this location HERE! There was so much delicious food and hours of dancing! Jim had commissioned a dance to propose to Della. At the reception, he taught […]

Hi, there. I’m back. Let’s book Spring 2023 Family Photos. I know I have to prove it. It’s been a wild few years since Rona and it’s taken me a long time and a lot of heavy consideration to come back to shooting full time. We’ll take it one day at a time. Baby steps! […]

Something all of my readers should know if you don’t already? My updates are never permanent. Not even close. What we’re “for sure” up to one week might change in a random two hour conversation at 10:00pm on a Tuesday. I love that for our life. I love having time and location freedom. I feel […]
