Mt. Rainier Engagement Photos

Nick & Ercia were on a tight timeline to get their Mt. Rainier Engagement Photos done for their wedding invitations to go out ASAP for a September wedding! They knew they wanted to go to a place they had scoped out towards Lonesome Lake on Mt. Rainier.

After getting to know each other at Anthem Coffee in Puyallup and booking their wedding date, we scheduled their engagement photos for the very next day! I met them part way then hopped in their truck for the bumpy (4 wheel only) drive to the look out.

I can’t believe I’ve been a photographer in the Pacific Northwest for nearly four years and this was my first time doing Mt. Rainier Engagement Photos! I’m definitely looking to go out that way more often.

Rosco (their pup) was a champ posing for photos and exploring near by through most of the shoot. The bugs were crazy but we were able to have fun through the swarm! Clouds covered the mountain for the first hour but had cleared up by the time we got to our second location. We were so happy to have it for our blue hour shots!

At the end of the evening Nick and Ercia shared a sandwich and broke out some beers. We had an awesome session and found the most stunning views.

Enjoy these sweet Mt. Rainier Engagement Photos and maybe consider taking more of an adventure into the PNW for your portraits, too! The travel fee is minimal and the experience alone is worth the drive.

Stay tuned for Nick & Ercia’s late September wedding. It’s going to be a backyard wedding on a private dock overlooking the lake. I can’t wait! Fingers crossed we get just as lucky near sunset early fall.

PSA: Due to the terrain of Mt. Rainier, it often looks as if people are in more danger than they are. Nick & Ercia were always safe and never posing near an actual drop off! ♥

Thank you! I definitely need to do some location scouting for non 4-wheel vehicles around this area. So pretty.

  2. Amy Borgen says:

They look fun, natural, and best of all not “posed”. Cheers!

They’re all taking great care of me, too! Working my booty offf. Trying to eat healthy and navigate adulting more […]

The in between

Life has been very romantic lately. Unknown and confusing and both flighty and grounded all at once. I remember being 14 and seeing my entire life by your side. Life is wild. I remember a water bottle and abandoned bleachers. I remember axe body spray and the way I had never been kissed. I know […]

Nirvana & I think of you

I hope you know better than to think I’d want to be anywhere but here right now. It was true on NYE and it’s true right now in my car outside the café. This may have felt seamless. Too seamless. Happenstance. But I’m here on purpose, now. I see your soft heart and I see […]

I hope you know better

You’ll walk through a glittering white veil, uncharacteristically soft compared to what you’ll find behind it. It has no need to keep you out. You quickly realize it’s the aura within that turns most around. The texture disorients. I’ll already be inside. What do you see? Upon first impression, you’re in a desert. Interesting considering […]
