Only Death Will Stop Me.

Mar

24

I’ve given everything to this company and I don’t plan to stop with Covid-19.

You have the right to change your mind. Anytime. Change your course. Do what you want. No one actually cares what you choose to do to make you happy. If they do, they need to check themselves.

Covid-19 took almost everything from my company.

Returned Remaining Balances for canceled events (thousands). Canceled Session after canceled session (thousands). Canceled contract after canceled contract (thousands). I haven’t gone this long without booking since the first six months I started five years ago.

It’s not over. This pandemic will take more. It has already promised to continue to effect this studio until 2022 at the earliest. But I’m not going anywhere.

Well-meaning individual: “You know…you could probably get a job for 60k a year with your skillset.”

“I’d rather die. I’ll shoot dogs in lingerie if I have to.”

My youth is yours.

I’ll change my name.

I’ll change the companies name.

We’ll leave the country if we have to.

I’m 29, today. This Shit just got started.

I’m the idiot that doesn’t know when to stop because they’re so invested. If I don’t have this…I have no reason to get out of bed. I don’t live for others. Never have, never will. This is my legacy. If I’m not making waves in my industry, I’m not alive.

So bankrupt me. Take my camera, The Studio. Take whatever the fuck you want if you must. I’ll find a way. And I’ll come back stronger.

I’m mad. I’m fierce. I have the blood of a true entrepreneur running through every.fucking.vein.

I’m on my own unique mission called life.

Only death will stop me.

Today? I’m not okay. But I will be.

Sincerely, Jaclynn

Only Death Will Stop Me.

Written July 2022 To all the LGBTQ people who fell in love with their best friend on accident. I see you. This was mine. I hope you find healing, too. To the girl I loved first, I’m 31 now. I think you turned 30 last month. I’ll bet you celebrated in a beautiful way. I […]

To the girl I loved first.

Della and Jim had a beautiful family and friends wedding celebration in Monroe, Washington at the Blue Boy West Golf Course. Check out another wedding I’ve photographed at this location HERE! There was so much delicious food and hours of dancing! Jim had commissioned a dance to propose to Della. At the reception, he taught […]

Hi, there. I’m back. Let’s book Spring 2023 Family Photos. I know I have to prove it. It’s been a wild few years since Rona and it’s taken me a long time and a lot of heavy consideration to come back to shooting full time. We’ll take it one day at a time. Baby steps! […]

Something all of my readers should know if you don’t already? My updates are never permanent. Not even close. What we’re “for sure” up to one week might change in a random two hour conversation at 10:00pm on a Tuesday. I love that for our life. I love having time and location freedom. I feel […]
