Pioneer Square Studio | Kayela & Austin

Apr

03

Kayela and Austin carefully selected the Pioneer Square Studio as their Maternity Photo Session Location! Kayela, Austin, and Parker were my last nanny family (I worked with 4-5 families during my nannying days) before leaving the nanny world for photography! Parker and Jamie played several days a week and Jamie learned how to be gentle and to share with baby Parker. I spent the first half of my pregnancy with Leo and the early days of SJP with them! They have always been so kind to me and my family and the most awesome supporters of this company from day one!

I was so excited when they decided on the Pioneer Square Studio in Seattle, Wa! The Pioneer District is so cute and was surprisingly easy to navigate. The studio entrance is marked with a yellow door with a parking lot right in back! I will definitely be returning to this studio and adding it to my regular locations referral list. The decor is beautiful, modern, and minimalist with a cozy living room feel. The floors are white to help bounce light around and the authentic brick wall adds a signature and beautiful touch with some added warm organic color.

My Mommas are always worried about their rambunctious or unpredictable toddlers but we go with their flow, catch what we can, and it always turns out on-character and so cute anyway! As predicted, Parker didn’t care much about sitting still or posing, but we put him to work with some games and actions and with a little bribery did wonderfully!

Kayela is quickly approaching her due date and I’m so excited to also be documenting their “Fresh 48” (In birth-location within 48 hours of delivery) and Newborn portraits as well! So excited to be sharing those within the next couple of months!

Austin, Kayela, and Parker are coming from Auburn, Washington and definitely feel the trip to this gorgeous Seattle Studio was worth every mile! ♥ I AGREE!!! I am so excited to be documenting more maternity and engagement sessions in studios (especially in the late fall to early spring months with unpredictable weather patterns!) and I hope you all fall a little more in love with modern studio photography as well!

Congratulations to the Bridge Family! We can’t wait until Baby Jordan is finally here!

We’ve done pretty well on our summer bucket list! Top of the kiddo to-do’s was a fire and smore’s. Not pictured: Pizza Sandwiches wrapped in foil. They weren’t a huge hit. This was our last family day at Am’s house in Rockport before she moved. I’m happy we were able to make some cozy memories […]

I google myself once in a while. Not always a great idea as you spend more and more time working with thousands of people over the years but I thought I’d give it a go today. I was pleasantly surprised to find my name included under Tacoma Top 10 Wedding Photographers. I was scrolling through […]

Sarah and Michael’s family hosted a cozy, close friends and family, Private Estate Wedding in Ronald, Washington! When I arrived, it had begun to rain. Luckily, the family was prepared with a covered event tent just in case. The rain hung around through the ceremony (with a little thunder, too!) and couple’s photos. Then, cleared […]
