UPDATE: This post was written several years ago but continues to see traffic! Here is a link if you’d like to book a November 2020 Mini Session at The Studio in Milton, Washington. Photos will be taken both indoors and outdoors on our Nature Trail. Email me hello@jaclynnwilkinson.com if you have any questions! ♥

Allow me to elaborate on my position as a Tacoma Washington (and surrounding area) Mini Sessions Photographer.

Good morning blogger-family! ♥

I am hopping in the blog today to talk a little about how SJP is building “Mini Sessions” to be more and a little different than what you’re probably used to seeing sponsored around social media. Let me explain.

My vision is that one day, my semi-annual mini session days (once in November, and once in May) will be fully booked by return clients before they ever reach the public. Altering the name from “Mini-Sessions” to “Legacy Sessions”.

I had a pretty strong “no mini-sessions” rule after my first year in business. I needed to set myself apart from the average photographer looking to make a quick buck. But then I started to get the messages rolling in from past brides and the questions from my newborn clients.

“You do such amazing work! Will you do our family photos next year?!” “Will you be available for a cake smash when the time comes??”. For about a year I struggled so much with the answer because I wanted to continue to serve my clients. I grew attached. I LOVE developing lasting relationships with my couples and Mommas…..but I also knew I would be swamped and unpredictably available for these sorts of sessions with my niche being weddings and maternity.

As a result, I launched “Semi-Annual Mini-Sessions” allowing four days a year where I carve out time to be available for these continued relationships!

I understand it may be a year or two before Mini-Sessions evolve into solely Legacy Sessions, but I am determined to keep this option open for my Brides, Couples, & Maternity turned Families. ♥

On May 6th I will be spending the entire day at a naturally lit and cozy indoor location/photo studio in either Seattle or Tacoma. Location TBD based off of bookings and what is most convenient for the first couple of people who book. Contestants are the GRLS Studio in Tacoma, Wa or the Pioneer Square Studio in Seattle, Wa.

MESSAGE ME HERE FOR QUESTIONS! Or contact me on INSTAGRAM.

Sincerely, Jaclynn

Hi! How are you? Thinking of lots of my clients lately and hoping you’re doing well no matter where life has taken you! I’ve been laying low. Loving on my kiddos, friends, sisters, and partners. They’re all taking great care of me, too! Working my booty offf. Trying to eat healthy and navigate adulting more […]

The in between

Life has been very romantic lately. Unknown and confusing and both flighty and grounded all at once. I remember being 14 and seeing my entire life by your side. Life is wild. I remember a water bottle and abandoned bleachers. I remember axe body spray and the way I had never been kissed. I know […]

Nirvana & I think of you

I hope you know better than to think I’d want to be anywhere but here right now. It was true on NYE and it’s true right now in my car outside the café. This may have felt seamless. Too seamless. Happenstance. But I’m here on purpose, now. I see your soft heart and I see […]

I hope you know better

You’ll walk through a glittering white veil, uncharacteristically soft compared to what you’ll find behind it. It has no need to keep you out. You quickly realize it’s the aura within that turns most around. The texture disorients. I’ll already be inside. What do you see? Upon first impression, you’re in a desert. Interesting considering […]
