BACK BLOG!! In 2017 I photographed so many weddings I didn’t have time to blog most of them. I was too busy editing and communicating with my couples! This year, The Studio has a team of editors so I have time to expand the website and share more of the work I put so much heart into over the years. The following is a wedding from October 2017 at the Georgetown Ballroom in Seattle, Washington.

I still remember meeting Becca and Cody for the first time at Everest Coffee & Tea house in Renton. When I found out Cody worked for Wizards of The Coast I knew we were a perfect fit for their wedding. Clynn and I are pretty heavily invested in Wizard’s of The Coast merch…that’s one way to put it. One of their biggest games, Magic The Gathering, is a pretty big part of mine and Clynn’s life. It was an automatic connection point!

Georgetown Ballroom is such a perfect venue for a Fall Wedding! Their outdoor courtyard makes for beautiful urban images and deep fall vibes. It’s not a walk at all. Just step outside and you’re in cocktail hour photo region. If it begins to rain, you’re not far from cover.

Becca had some traditional Irish Wedding details that were so fun to see and be a part of! If I remember right, the rainbow colored pin was an heirloom.

Georgetown Ballroom had delicious in house catering. They took such good care of the bridal party bringing up charcuterie boards, champagne, and orange juice during getting ready. They even brought snacks and a special bottle of champagne up to the wedding party after the ceremony while we signed documents with the officiant!

The cake was definitely one I’ll never forget. Traditional in the front, and a nod to their gaming history and Cody’s work on the back. It was fun watching guests come up to admire the cake. Then, their reaction of shock as they noticed the details sticking out from the back. Priceless.

Clynn was an amazing second shooter for Becca and Cody! Their gallery boasts many alternate angles only made possible by having an artistic second shooter!

Thank you, YET AGAIN and a couple years later, to Becca and Cody for inviting Clynn and I to be your wedding photographer’s! We loved working with you two so much! ♥

CONGRATULATIONS BECCA & CODY!!!

We’ve done pretty well on our summer bucket list! Top of the kiddo to-do’s was a fire and smore’s. Not pictured: Pizza Sandwiches wrapped in foil. They weren’t a huge hit. This was our last family day at Am’s house in Rockport before she moved. I’m happy we were able to make some cozy memories […]

I google myself once in a while. Not always a great idea as you spend more and more time working with thousands of people over the years but I thought I’d give it a go today. I was pleasantly surprised to find my name included under Tacoma Top 10 Wedding Photographers. I was scrolling through […]

Sarah and Michael’s family hosted a cozy, close friends and family, Private Estate Wedding in Ronald, Washington! When I arrived, it had begun to rain. Luckily, the family was prepared with a covered event tent just in case. The rain hung around through the ceremony (with a little thunder, too!) and couple’s photos. Then, cleared […]
