Olympia Newborn Photographer | Ryleigh Mae

Apr

I have struggled so much with my identity in saying something as bold as “Olympia Newborn Photographer”. Weddings? Absolutely. Newborns are a completely different ball game. But I love them just the same. Newborns and weddings are my yin and yang. For weddings I bring all the energy! Newborns are filled with white noise and slow movement. I tell all of my newborn mommas how humbled I am. The babies call all the shots for me. We take as much time as necessary. The learning curve is different. The light is different. The bodies are SO different. There’s no cracking a cheesy joke at just the right moment to get the shot I’m envisioning. There’s just the white noise and any training’s and tips I can find in between the throws of wedding bliss.

Why offer newborn portraits? Because when I’ve developed such amazing relationships with my brides, I just can’t say no when they come back a year later. 😉 ♥

I picture a day where I’m shooting 1-2 newborns a week and weddings every other weekend with all the engagements and maternity inbetween! What can I say? I LOVE this stage of life.

Give me all the love, marriage, and baby carriage years!

Thank you so so much to Sydney and Nolan for inviting me to document sweet Ryleigh’s newborn portraits! I am so excited to see your family grow as you cherish each milestone as Mom & Dad to another beautiful baby girl.

Drop your vote blow!! Who thinks Ryleigh is a red head like Daddy?! It’s a hot topic and my studio lighting sure thinks so!

Welcome to the world baby girl. ♥

I google myself once in a while. Not always a great idea as you spend more and more time working with thousands of people over the years but I thought I’d give it a go today. I was pleasantly surprised to find my name included under Tacoma Top 10 Wedding Photographers. I was scrolling through […]

When Clynn and the boys and I were nomadic we spent two or three nights at Hotel Indigo Everett Waterfront and I had wanted to revisit ever since! About a year later, Am and I needed a little local get away after a crazy week it was an easy and incredibly satisfying go-to! As someone […]

Sarah and Michael’s family hosted a cozy, close friends and family, Private Estate Wedding in Ronald, Washington! When I arrived, it had begun to rain. Luckily, the family was prepared with a covered event tent just in case. The rain hung around through the ceremony (with a little thunder, too!) and couple’s photos. Then, cleared […]
