Point Defiance Maternity

These Point Defiance Maternity photos are among my favorites! I first worked with Travis and Marie on professional headshots for Travis’ accounting/book keeping company. We photographed those at The Union Club Tacoma where The Studio had our first Gallery Viewing! This is a gorgeous coworking space I would recommend. I had a desk there for a little while way back. The views were beautiful and the building is inspiring.

We had a lovely time photographing these maternity photos at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington. Marie’s dress was absolutely perfect for her. The red a stunning contrast to the lush greens we had that day.

Congratulations, to Travis & Marie! I actually have a follow up session already documented with these two and their sweet little girl at the Point Defiance Zoo! I’m sure I’ll get to blogging that session soon as well. 🙂

Documenting first time parents is such a joy of mine. All the babies that come after, too! I’m so grateful to my return clients and families I get to work with again and again.

ENJOY these beautiful parents and colors!

The in between

Life has been very romantic lately. Unknown and confusing and both flighty and grounded all at once. I remember being 14 and seeing my entire life by your side. Life is wild. I remember a water bottle and abandoned bleachers. I remember axe body spray and the way I had never been kissed. I know […]

Nirvana & I think of you

I hope you know better than to think I’d want to be anywhere but here right now. It was true on NYE and it’s true right now in my car outside the café. This may have felt seamless. Too seamless. Happenstance. But I’m here on purpose, now. I see your soft heart and I see […]

I hope you know better

You’ll walk through a glittering white veil, uncharacteristically soft compared to what you’ll find behind it. It has no need to keep you out. You quickly realize it’s the aura within that turns most around. The texture disorients. I’ll already be inside. What do you see? Upon first impression, you’re in a desert. Interesting considering […]
