Tacoma Maternity Photos

Locations have sure been difficult through this pandemic! Luckily, Chinese Reconciliation Park has been ready and waiting. The day after I documented an engagement session here, I was back for Zach & Mindy’s Tacoma Maternity Photos!

Several years ago, I photographed Zach and Mindy’s engagements at another Tacoma location. They eloped to Vegas and we both wish I came with them! I was so happy to get to work with them again for their maternity session.

We first me while I was photographing Tabbie & Mitch’s wedding at Orting Manor! I had been working all morning and during the reception they let me know I had them on the books within the next couple weeks already (we hadn’t met yet!). hahaha It was the first time I wondered about how I had looked working all day and if they were still excited to work with crazy me after seeing me in action. They were not scared off, good sign!

Ever since their engagement session, they’ve been SO supportive of the studio and I’m so so grateful to have them around cheering me on and me cheering them on!

This baby was a long time coming! Zach & Mindy tried for this baby for THREE years! Thanks to IVF and never giving up, these two will soon be THREE! ♥ I can’t wait to see them back for family photos, soon!

They’re all taking great care of me, too! Working my booty offf. Trying to eat healthy and navigate adulting more […]

The in between

Life has been very romantic lately. Unknown and confusing and both flighty and grounded all at once. I remember being 14 and seeing my entire life by your side. Life is wild. I remember a water bottle and abandoned bleachers. I remember axe body spray and the way I had never been kissed. I know […]

Nirvana & I think of you

I hope you know better than to think I’d want to be anywhere but here right now. It was true on NYE and it’s true right now in my car outside the café. This may have felt seamless. Too seamless. Happenstance. But I’m here on purpose, now. I see your soft heart and I see […]

I hope you know better

You’ll walk through a glittering white veil, uncharacteristically soft compared to what you’ll find behind it. It has no need to keep you out. You quickly realize it’s the aura within that turns most around. The texture disorients. I’ll already be inside. What do you see? Upon first impression, you’re in a desert. Interesting considering […]
