Tess & Cameron | Olympia Engagement Photos

Mar

05

Before even seeing my sample galleries, Tess & Cameron were pretty certain they wanted their Olympia Engagement Photos at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge! I first met Tess, Cameron, and baby Isolde at the 222 Market in Olympia, Washington. There’s this adorable Cafè known as “The Bread Peddler” inside that I LOVE meeting my potential couples in to get to know each other over coffee and a treat or just take in the atmosphere in a beautifully neutral zone. ♥

Sitting at a center raised table we got to know each other, gushed over baby Isolde, went through my portfolio and every scenario from high noon sun to dark venues. We were an instant match and I couldn’t be more excited for their Spring Wedding this April at Titlow Lodge in Tacoma, WA!

When my couples have babies & children of their own or from previous relationships, I always offer for them to join us during the first half of their engagement session! When kiddos are involved, it’s never just about if you’re a great match for each other, it’s about if your a great match for your children as well. I know your babies are such a big part of your love story, so as I will always get those romantic portraits of just you and your fiancè, I also want to capture the full circle of how you came to be so perfect for one another.

A couple weeks before their Olympia Engagement Photos, we met up at their venue for a walk through! I always try to walk through my couple’s venues with them before the big day so they can point out their visions and I can add my wedding experience to their concerns or questions. Meeting up for a walk through gives us another chance to be around each other before the big day, which is always a pro in my book!

Check out another gorgeous Olympia Engagement Session at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge! I am such a fan of this location for being in the middle of everything and feeling like you’re miles away from any hustle and bustle of the surrounding cities.

We’ve done pretty well on our summer bucket list! Top of the kiddo to-do’s was a fire and smore’s. Not pictured: Pizza Sandwiches wrapped in foil. They weren’t a huge hit. This was our last family day at Am’s house in Rockport before she moved. I’m happy we were able to make some cozy memories […]

I google myself once in a while. Not always a great idea as you spend more and more time working with thousands of people over the years but I thought I’d give it a go today. I was pleasantly surprised to find my name included under Tacoma Top 10 Wedding Photographers. I was scrolling through […]

When Clynn and the boys and I were nomadic we spent two or three nights at Hotel Indigo Everett Waterfront and I had wanted to revisit ever since! About a year later, Am and I needed a little local get away after a crazy week it was an easy and incredibly satisfying go-to! As someone […]

Sarah and Michael’s family hosted a cozy, close friends and family, Private Estate Wedding in Ronald, Washington! When I arrived, it had begun to rain. Luckily, the family was prepared with a covered event tent just in case. The rain hung around through the ceremony (with a little thunder, too!) and couple’s photos. Then, cleared […]
