Benton City Washington

A few weeks ago I made the trip to visit my family in Benton City, Washington. My sister and her newest daughter were up visiting from Florida so we could all meet her!

My mom, dad, me, and youngest sister fell for baby Anna so fast! She is the absolute CUTEST baby girl I’ve ever seen. I may be a bit biased as many people have agreed she looks like a baby me. lol

It was so so great being able to spend some time with Kristin and Anna. The three days we had together went by TOO QUICKLY!

Traveling to Benton City is always a hoot. I love that little town. There are plenty of laughs to be had over their small town grocery store and complete lack of quality espresso machines.

I made a little video while I was down there letting my Instagram community know my studio here in Milton has better espresso technology than the entire city of Benton City, Washington. It’s so true. A handful of you got a good kick out of that with me. 😂

I love photographing my nieces whenever I get the chance and am not too swamped with my own work. Babies, especially between 1 month old through walking, are not my forte. I think it’s worth it to pull out the fancy camera anyway!

We ran to Target and picked out a couple cute rompers and some precious bows. Little Anna wanted NOTHING to do with the bows. I think I maybe delivered one photo where we were able to keep it on her for five seconds. Newborns are much easier to convince of silly accessories.

We started on a swing in my Mom’s living room, moved to the grass, then a stump, and ended with my two favorite sets. Holding onto a fence and walking with her Momma. I have to say the fence shots are my favorite!

They perfectly show this time in Anna’s life where she refuses to let her heels make contact with the ground. A little tip-toe ballerina in the making for sure!

Thank you for sharing your precious Anna with my camera, Kristin! Washington misses you! ♥

We’ve done pretty well on our summer bucket list! Top of the kiddo to-do’s was a fire and smore’s. Not pictured: Pizza Sandwiches wrapped in foil. They weren’t a huge hit. This was our last family day at Am’s house in Rockport before she moved. I’m happy we were able to make some cozy memories […]

I google myself once in a while. Not always a great idea as you spend more and more time working with thousands of people over the years but I thought I’d give it a go today. I was pleasantly surprised to find my name included under Tacoma Top 10 Wedding Photographers. I was scrolling through […]

Sarah and Michael’s family hosted a cozy, close friends and family, Private Estate Wedding in Ronald, Washington! When I arrived, it had begun to rain. Luckily, the family was prepared with a covered event tent just in case. The rain hung around through the ceremony (with a little thunder, too!) and couple’s photos. Then, cleared […]
