Seven years as a Seattle area wedding and portrait photographer and I can’t believe this was my first time ever at Golden Gardens! I recognized areas from other photographers photos but this was my first time shooting here. Then, I found out less than two weeks later that I will be photographing a wedding at Golden Gardens at the end of the month. From “never shot here” to two back to back, I am excited to add this location to places I’m familiar with.

It was probably the first absolutely gorgeous day of Spring 2022. We were so lucky to catch it! Maddie’s parents came along to help with baby J and get some grandparent portraits as well. Sweet baby J did so well! She slept for half the session allowing for a great variety of open and closed eye baby photos.
Maddie had brought some adorable little baby booties that we had a hard time keeping on her. A note to new parents and non-walking littles: it’s really hard to keep shoes on them at all my sessions! I’m happy we were able to get some photos in with the booties on, too! They’re just so darn cute even if not functional.
Welcome to the world baby girl and congratulations to Maddie and John! I loved watching them work together and each taking turns with photos. It’s clear Maddie, Joh, and Maddie’s parents are absolutely smitten.
