Harry Potter Wedding

Jun

20

Years later and this summer wedding at the Heritage Park Event & Retreat Center is still one of the first that comes to mind when thinking of my favorite weddings to photograph. Audrie and Joe executed a classy spin on a Harry Potter Wedding theme. The wedding took place out in Ariel, Washington early September 2017.

Now that I’m getting my blog more active, I wanted to back log all of these weddings you’ve heard me talk about! I have over 80 in my portfolio and maybe ten blogged so here we go!

I’m working on bringing my wedding blogs to less is more mentality. Quality over quantity. Instead of blogging the entire story, I’m going to pick a small collection. 10-20 of my absolute favorite images from the day to represent my work.

Potential brides who wish to see full collections are more then welcome to message for complete gallery examples!

However, as I get into fine art print, and trying to shift the mentality of MORE MORE MORE in our digital photography age into a small collection of flawless, emotion-filled portraits that will last for generations to come, I hope you linger longer.

Fine Art Photography is NOT about scrolling. This art and these memories, are not about visually reading an 80 image story in 20 seconds. They are about finding a story in ONE image. Rather than spending one minute scrolling through dozens, I wish you’d spend one minute looking at just one or two images.

Now, that being said, we’re not quiet there yet. But know I am transitioning into this style of blogging with current weddings to come.

Below is a collection of details, mostly, that I re-edited one year (last summer) following Audrie & Joe’s wedding and never got the chance to post. The details were absolutely beautiful. I was in love with this cake and the classy spin on a Harry Potter Theme.

Enjoy!

We’ve done pretty well on our summer bucket list! Top of the kiddo to-do’s was a fire and smore’s. Not pictured: Pizza Sandwiches wrapped in foil. They weren’t a huge hit. This was our last family day at Am’s house in Rockport before she moved. I’m happy we were able to make some cozy memories […]

I google myself once in a while. Not always a great idea as you spend more and more time working with thousands of people over the years but I thought I’d give it a go today. I was pleasantly surprised to find my name included under Tacoma Top 10 Wedding Photographers. I was scrolling through […]

Sarah and Michael’s family hosted a cozy, close friends and family, Private Estate Wedding in Ronald, Washington! When I arrived, it had begun to rain. Luckily, the family was prepared with a covered event tent just in case. The rain hung around through the ceremony (with a little thunder, too!) and couple’s photos. Then, cleared […]
