Seattle Park Engagements

I couldn’t believe when I was going through my archives that Taylor & Andrew’s Seattle Park Engagements never made it to the blog! I shared these photos a ton on my Instagram Stories when we first took them back in September! Now, I’m excited to bring them back to life with a fresh blog post.

To start, after this session, I became utterly obsessed with this red berry shrubbery near the entrance of South Discovery Park! I came back many times to work with it. Check the first handful of photos in This blog post and This one, to see more of this red berry shrubbery I can’t get enough of! This session was the OG of my favorite Seattle shrubbery.

Taylor and Andrew were one of the first couples on my 2020 schedule (possibly the first!). Their wedding will be at The Orchard at Sunshine Hill near the close of 2020 wedding season! I’m so excited to photograph at this venue again, and especially with these two! They booked early–no just on time– and I’m so glad they did. I’ve had to turn away at least four couples for their dreamy wedding date. If you’ve picked a weekend date between May and October, definitely book your vendors as soon as you are able!

September can’t come soon enough, Taylor & Andrew! I hope you’re enjoying your winter and I can’t wait to see you again in August for your 30 day prior!!!

A little family Wellman Update dump. Morning! I’ve struggled coming back in to write lately. I abandoned my last post in tears over the current state of The Studio. My camera bag was stolen about a year ago. Everything I’ve photographed in 2024 has been on rented equipment. Being abandoned with the children with zero […]

Early October I got to experience an adventurous and romantic Swiss Autumn with my long distance partner. We traveled deep into the Swiss mountains, ate all the yummy food, met old friends, went to a dance party, made some new friends, enjoyed a private sauna with an impressive view, took naps, snuggled, and went on […]

We have to get a little creative here with our PNW Photojournalism. One of the first things you learn as a new natural light photographer is how incredible a big window can make any room look. A tiny corner in the most unassuming place, if sitting close to a window can produce the most magical […]

Tonight, I took the boys to the Everett Haunted Harbor community event! Everyone putting it on was so sweet and we all had a blast! Thank you to all the boat volunteers! We started with trick or treating at the boats, watching witches paddle board around the harbor, petting all the neighbor dogs, and watched […]
